Today, HTTP and TCP are the protocols of the web. TCP is the generic, reliable transport protocol, providing guaranteed delivery, duplicate suppression, in-order delivery, flow control, congestion avoidance and other transport features. HTTP is the application level protocol providing basic request/response semantics. So how is it spelled correctly? HTML5 or HTML 5? Two different ways of writing HTML5 was promoted by each WHATWG and W3C. The discussion now has come to an end. They came to the conclusion to write it without the space between HTML and 5. The conclusion and the compromise has been made as it is very bad for branding to go with two different pronounciations.
